 FAQs

  • As a therapist, my approach is collaborative, non-judgmental, and relatable. In our sessions, we’ll have open conversations about your thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and life experiences. I’ll provide guidance, support, and evidence-based tools to help you navigate challenges and move toward your goals.

At times, I may give you homework — because real change also happens outside of the therapy room. Some sessions may feel challenging, while others may bring relief, insight, or even laughter. Through it all, I’m here to walk alongside you, creating a safe space where you can grow, heal, and build the life you want.

  • Lory is licensed to provide services in Florida. Samantha is licensed in both Florida and Minnesota, and Niccarra is licensed in Florida and South Carolina. To work with us, you must be a resident of one of these states.

  • Yes, in some cases you may be eligible to use out-of network insurance benefits. You will be responsible for paying for each session in full at time of appointment. I am happy to submit claims on your behalf (via a company called Thrizer) or provide you with a monthly superbill, so you can coordinate with your insurance company directly.

  • Thrizer can submit claims to your insurance company on your behalf for a small fee. Once you’ve met your deductible, you have two options:

    • Pay in full: You pay for the session up front, and your insurance company reimburses you directly via direct deposit.

    • Pay only your co-insurance: You pay just your portion, and Thrizer covers the remaining balance while they wait for reimbursement from your insurance company.

If you’d prefer to handle claims on your own, I can provide you with a monthly superbill to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. In this case, you would be responsible for paying the full session fee at the time of your appointment.

We can review both options during our consultation and decide which one works best for you.

  • Yes, I reserve a limited number of sliding scale spots in my schedule. If you are unable to pay my full rate do not hesitate to contact me.

  • Unfortunately, we do not.

  • I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation for any potential new client. This gives us a chance to get to know each other and for you to ask any questions you may have.

  • I usually begin with weekly sessions to help us start off on a strong foundation and allow you to see progress early on. I recommend committing to at least 3 months at this pace. Once we begin noticing positive changes in your life, we can gradually shift to bi-weekly sessions and eventually transition to once a month.

  • I know that things come up and life happens. Please reach out either by phone or email and provide at least 24 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling to avoid the full session fee.
